The Oakhanger Project is a Christian based organisation providing a range of Outdoor and Adventure activities designed to encourage and enable the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth and development of those taking part.

Have fun, develop new skills, meet new people!

Learn about Life, the Bible and Adventure!

We will encourage you to work together to face decisions, overcome problems, grow together and discover yourself.

We don't have all the answers - but we will work with you to enable you to discover the answer relevant to your specific situation.

Programmes are as varied as the people we work with and can be designed to suit your needs - they can be from two hours to several days.

Individuals & Groups

Short Breaks

The Oakhanger Project can organise short-break activity programmes in a family-style, residential setting for individuals and groups. Accommodation is in tents or self-catering chalets.

Popular areas include North Wales, North Lancashire, the English Lake District, Yorkshire, Northumberland, Devon and the Peak District National Park.

Working with the Community

The Oakhanger Project works with families, children and groups within the local Oakhanger village community and surrounding area to help provide a wide variety of activities including:

Countryside walks
Adventure activity days
Community events such as Open Days, Burns Supper, Summer Fayre, Strawberry Teas, Christmas Carols etc

We work closely with the two village churches (Anglican and Methodist) and the local Parish Council when organising such events.

Team Events

Sponsorship

The Oakhanger Project can provide a Team Event for your group at a variety of venues.

You can use such an event to develop your teamwork skills or as a sponsored activity for your group or organisation.

Try our “Triathalon” event! Teams of 3 or 4 compete over a course of between 5 and 10 miles. Activities include Cross Country, Canoe, Kayak and Initiative Tests.

Fund raise for your organisation or your favourite charity. We will provide the activity and help with printing sponsorship forms. You provide the team and find sponsors.

Cost is £225 per day. Why not share the event with another group and spread the cost?
